Numbness in fingers and toes – Question

I’m staying with a friend who has been experiencing numbness in her fingers and sometimes toes especially at night for about 4 months. She also has aburning and sometimes aching in her hands and every once in a while some shooting pain when she is using them. She owns a B&B and coffee shop. She also had surgery 10 months ago for a shattered heel. She was on heavy medsfor pain for a long time but this numbness started after she got off the meds. She has a ton of stress in her life and has not been to see her chiro in a while. Do you have any thoughts? Thanks so much!

Numbness by itself with no other symptoms is a bit hard to figure out.

The high stress lifestyle, along with a medical history of surgery and taking medications adds to the picture.

Without a complete medical history on this person I could recommend the following:

1. Start taking B Natural’s sublingual B-12 at the rate of 3 am and 3 mid day – contact me directly after 14 days.

2. Start taking B Natural’s L-theanine at the rate of 1 capsule in the morning and 1 at bedtime. Contact me after 14 days.

3. visit your chiropractor and have he/she check your upper neck, pinched nerves could be a large factor in the symptoms.

My guess here is that over  a period of time this person has burned off all the body’s reserves of B-12 due to stress.  The body is now burning off the mylan sheath that covers the nerves to use up the B-12 that is stored there.  That is why fingers and toes start to tingle.

Now – if there is diabetes in the family – that is a whole different story and again I must stress – I need a complete medical history to paint a complete answer.
