Kathy asks, Do you have anything I can use to prevent getting poison ivy? I try toavoid the plant when I see it, but still end up with it sometimes. What doyou recommend doing once you get it?

Poison Ivy can be very serious. Some people dont react much to the plant, and others have to be hospitalized.
There are several plant oils that help to prevent outbreaks and there are also some homeopathic remedies that you can take once you see an outbreak start.
The first line of defense against poison ivy is prevention. Wear clothing that fully covers skin. Once you return home, wash those cloths seperately and take a shower. Dont spread the plant oils if you can help it.
If you have an outbreak I recommend getting a good natural posion ivy soap. They have specific natural plant properties in them to relieve the itch and the blister affects. Also start taking a homeopathic anti poisonivy remedy as soon as you see the small blisters or redness. Dont take a homeopathic remedy unless you have an outbreak.
I also use Colloidal Silver to wash the area, then cover the area in a blend of essential oils to take the itch and sting out of the blisters.
Emu oil topically will heal up the skin after your outbreak is in control.
